TAIWANESE DAY!

Here in genius English Proficiency Academy students are given a chance to showcase their country and talk about culture, traditional beliefs and food.There are social, physical and psychological advantages for students who participate in after school activities. It can broaden the student’s knowledge about different cultures and a way of life in the different countries that up the earth.
Genius English Proficiency Academy Corporation always aims to provide the best for the students. Not only that, we give them the opportunity to be confident especially in the use of English in everyday life. The school composed of different nationalities and to bridge the gap between our students, our academy organizes what we call “ national day. “ On this day, they could take pride in where they came from and show off to everyone what they have in their countries.
Every Wednesday, Genius Students will present one country at a time. Last Wednesday 2nd day of December, 2015.It’s Taiwanese Day.

It had been amazing day.  Mr. Jonathan and Mr. Willy had gathered all the students and teachers on how to prepare “Dumplings” while some had been eating the green bean.

Later Mr. Yung An had presented the film showing about the origin of “Taiwan”. He taught how to pronounce these phrases – I Like You (Wo xi huan ni) and I Love You (Wo ai ni).

“I Like You”
DSC_0104 Mr. Yung An pronounce the taiwanese word  “Wo ai ni” and he  let Ms. Jen (Genius Academic Head) to say it.      “Wo ai ni” in English it means “I Love You”.

Right after the film showing the dumplings and the fried rice noodles were ready to serve. It had been so delicious and so yummy that you always wanted to eat more.

After we had eaten all the delicious Taiwanese food that they prepared. We all had gone out and had played the traditional Taiwanese game called “Ring toss game”. It had been such a fun day!
